The Bahamas BANS HAITI . . . by Air and by Sea . . . for hosting their annual CARNIVAL event

Haiti is sanctioned by the Bahamian government after they went ahead and hosted their annual Carnival event during a time when everyone still suppose to be practicing social distancing due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The Bahamas has taken action and cancelled flights with Haiti as of February 15, 2021 through 21 days before the sanction is lifted.

According to locals in the Bahamas, the banning of commercial flights as well as ships comes after the Bahamas government wants to take “precautionary measures” In order to prevent the risk of coronavirus being imported from Haiti since the “Haiti has entered it’s carnival season”.

“The entry into the Bahamas of any vessel or person which has left Haiti, whether by direct transport routes or through another jurisdiction, and arriving by air or sea is prohibited for a period of 21 days at starting at 12:01 am on Monday February 15 ” the note reads.
