Former Haiti’s President Michel Martelly is Banned From Performing In Miami

Miami police will now intercept any Michel Martelly, musically known as “Sweet Micky” stage appearance during the up coming “Best of Haiti Music Festival”.

Recently, community leaders in Little Haiti filed complaint via a letter to the Mayor of Miami, Francis Suarez, stating that other City such as New York and Montreal in Canada have already “declared Sweet Mickey persona non grata for violent crimes ( kidnapping/gang related crime) committed against Haitians, Men, Women, and Children.”

The decision is based on safety concerns, protesters who may violently disrupt the event, and other miscellaneous threats. Right now, a spoke person for the Miami Police Department says if Martelly remains in any Lineup, such permit will immediately be revoked.
