Departure flight to Haiti is hit in the air with 157 passengers on-board

Delta Airline [flight DL 685] on Monday that was departing from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince made an emergency landing at Daytona Beach International Airport after its windshield was hit with something while in the air. Thank God, the airline landed safely in Florida around 3:50 in the afternoon. It left Georgia at 11:40 in the morning. Emergency dispatchers were standing by in case the Airbus 320 crashed, but all the passengers were safe and transferred to a new flight from Daytona Beach to Port-Au-Prince.
